Held in London on the 17th September 2008, key representatives from a variety of organisations met to discuss key challenges and to swap experiences.

Carbon Accounting – Methodological Challenges
Kate Levick (Carbon Disclosure Project) spoke about efforts to encourage private and public entities to report their carbon emissions. Disclosure is an important step towards reducing emissions.

Katherine White (Office of Climate Change) discussed prospects for long-term emissions reductions ahead of the forthcoming report to the Committee on Climate Change.

Effecting Behaviour Change
Philip Stamp and Andrea Collier (DEFRA) gave an insight into DEFRA’s programme to understand and facilitate household behavioural change. This was followed by a discussion of local prospects for sustainable consumption in each of the regions.
