SCPnet Conference 2008

Day Two: Embedding SCP in the Future

The Sustainable Consumption & Production (SCP) philosophy continues to evolve and gain in both momentum & stature. The speakers and demonstrations on Day Two introduced:

Advances in the current suite of tools, and
Developments of new methodologies.

These were reviewed within the context of delivering the vision for SCPnet post 2010, assessing current, on-going and future needs to:

Further define environmental limits
Identify & agree secondary objectives
Develop the methodology further to improve accessibility
Satisfy increasing demands with diminishing resources
Bridge the divide between analysis and policy
Support the development of the new Integrated Regional Strategy

The conference also posed the question, could SCPnet be a model for the UK and Europe?
